FutureZoetrope is an ongoing artistic project exploring time as an operative medium through immersive systems.
FutureZoetrope is an artist-led project conceived and directed by Kaihei Hase. The project is developed in collaboration with Syunji Yazaki, a creative technologist responsible for programming and technical development.
It explores how time emerges through embodied interaction, rather than being simply given.
Recent VR installation Revolving Time Domain has been presented internationally, including at Recto VRso and SXSW Sydney XR+. The current project extends this inquiry by introducing more constrained and unstable temporal structures.
